Baby Face

I wish I had this picture hanging in my house. Maybe in every room. It's my baby - back when he was small. It only lasts for such a short time, and this picture makes me want to love on my kids every second I get. Especially that little Trent who isn't so little anymore.

Trent was born with this expression on his face, and he pulled it out, chin quiver and all, quite often during his first couple of months of life. I knew it was too precious to last forever, so one night I growled at him to scare him to pieces so I could capture this exact face. I felt horrible for doing it, but I'm so glad I did, because now I get to remember how sweet he was anytime I want to.

Cause he ain't to sweet anymore.

Thanks, Mama Kat, for this assignment. I think I might actually frame this puppy now.

I also loved the prompt about wishing you had taken action but didn't. I wrote about that not long ago. If you didn't see that one, be sure to read it here. There's naked people and a hose involved. Good stuff, I tell you.

Now get over to Mama Kat's place and link up your own stories, or read some of the others!

That picture is so sweet. I love the faces babies make and it does go so fast, although most of mine are still pretty little. There are already things they don't do anymore. I laughed at you scaring him to get him to make the face. I would have done it too. Thank goodness for cameras to capture memories like that!

That is the sweetest face. you are so right...not only will it be gone soon, but we wont even remember it.

My little 6 month old started making a smiling face where she crinkles everything up. I havent captured it yet, and now that is my goal for today. THANKS!

Oh Bethany, that picture is ADORABLE! I think it is frame-worthy for sure....I would put one in my wallet too, if I were you. Pull it out when life's handing you a snotty kleenex or traffic is bad.

People HAVE to read about the naked people and hose....I laughed so hard at that story!

What a great photo! That expression on his face just pulls at my heartstrings. Poor baby. I'd give him ANYTHING he wanted with a pout like that one. lol

Such a sweet picture. And I love the fact that you growled at him to get the pouty face. I shamelessly admit I've the the same thing.

That is the greatest picture! And a woman after my own heart! Do what it takes to get the shot! Even if it means terrifying your precious, helpless child! lol
Frame this in poster size! It makes me wish I had another little one!
